Dr. Julia Shaw is a senior lecturer and researcher in the Department of Law and Social Sciences at London South Bank University. She is heavily involved in teaching classes on criminology and psychology at the undergraduate and graduate level, for which she has won two teaching excellence awards.
She has published research articles in various international academic journals, written chapters for textbooks, and gives guest lectures and conference presentations around the world. Additionally, Dr Shaw is the author of "The Memory Illusion", which was published on June 16th, 2016, with Penguin Random House in the UK. The book will also appear in 13 languages with several other international publishers in the fall of 2016. Dr. Shaw is also a regular contributor to the popular science magazine Scientific American, hosting a series on how our memories can mislead us called "Memory Mondays".
