Isabelle Palmer is The Balcony Gardener
With her own two small balconies in her Hampstead apartment, Isabelle wanted to create a little green oasis of her own. Unable to find anything on-line related to small-space or novice gardening in an urban environment, Isabelle saw a niche in the market, and The Balcony Gardener was born in May 2009. Both Isabelle and the brand’s exquisite range of vintage and contemporary gardening items received substantial media attention as the company fulfilled a practical yet stylish introduction into the grow-your-own and gardening market for a younger generation.
Isabelle’s first book ‘The Balcony Gardener’ was published in March 2012 followed by her second book ‘The House Gardener’ which was published in March 2014, both by Cico Books. These are both sold in a number of other continents including the USA, Australasia, Asia, and Europe and have been translated into a number of languages. The Balcony Gardener: German, Spanish, Dutch, Italian, Danish, Czech and Slovakian. The House Gardener: German, Dutch and Italian.
