Thirteen-year-old Travis is still trying to get his life back on track following the death of his parents. But he can't shake the feeling that the crash that killed them wasn't an accident. He's trying to stop obsessing about it by solving a petty-thieving spree at school, but the distraction isn't enough. Especially when he begins to suspect that there's a traitor at the heart of the private detective business his parents ran -- and that that traitor sold his parents out. The question is why? Once Travis starts thinking like this, he quickly starts to feel that he can't trust anybody, not even his closest allies.
