Diane CookOur business is founded on the basis of tea time traditions and the happy and comforting memories they can evoke. The whole ethos of Constance Wallace is designed to encourage friends and family to enjoy spending time together. Diane Cooke founder of Constance Wallace studied Printed Textiles at Birmingham City University, before completing her Master’s degree where she became intrigued by the importance of objects to the triggering of memories. After the death of her father, Diane and her sisters provided tea and sustenance to her father’s family and friends. Over the serving of tea Diane heard lots of snippets of stories of her father’s life and after everyone had left she gathered up all the teabags that had been used to make the tea, dried them all out, bundled them together with string and stitched forget me knots onto them. This was when the real importance and sentiment of tea and family was realised.
