bananaseed book fairs was started by Emily Scheinman in 2004 to create a better school fundraiser in the SF Bay Area that emphasizes great quality children's books, the best in customer service, and customized book fairs that meet each specific school’s special needs. Since then, the business has grown by word of mouth to become the largest independent book fair business in Northern California. We are delighted to help thousands of children get access to quality books and to encourage their love of reading, as well as helping their schools raise significant funds. Bananaseed has provided over 150,000 quality books to students and raised over $350,000 for schools.
