As one of Albuquerque’s last remaining local, independent bookstores, we are dedicated to supporting our community and connecting books and readers.

We showcase the work of nationally-touring and best-selling authors and locally-published authors alike. We partner with New Mexico community groups and organizations to produce high-quality lectures, talks, and signings both at our store and at off-site venues. Our off-site venues include lecture halls, performance centers, schools, conferences, restaurants, fundraisers and galas--any type of venue where authors appear and where books can be sold. Our recent event partners include ABC Library, the Albuquerque Public Library Foundation, the University of New Mexico English department, UNM's Women's Resource Center, Albuquerque Academy, the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History, Slate Street Cafe, Tractor Brewing Company, Flying Star, the Center for Spiritual Living, Planned Parenthood, and the Rio Grande Nature Center.
