The Bookworm is an independent bookstore located in Surf City on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. The store has offered books, cards and book related items to customers for nearly fifteen years. Selections include a quality line of new releases as well as classic favorites for adults and children alike. Activities at The Bookworm include summer story time for the youngsters and, on occasion, book signings featuring the works of area authors. We believe that browsing is a fine art. At The Bookworm customers are always encouraged to browse and to avail themselves of the staff as necessary to assist in their search. The store is open from April through December with hours that vary depending upon the time of year.
