UNC Student Stores is the official bookstore of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is located in the center of campus in the Daniels Building. The store provides textbooks, course materials, school and art supplies and a large selection of UNC merchandise, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and gifts. Student Stores is home to the UNC Textbook and Course Materials department; the UNC Clothing and Gift Shop; the Ram Shop computer and electronics store; the Bull's Head Book Shop; the Health Affairs department; the UNC Print Stop; the Pit Stop convenience store; a United States Post Office contract unit; and the Daily Grind espresso café.

Established in 1915 by University administrators as an extension of the student-run Book Exchange, UNC Student Stores has been enriching and empowering UNC students, faculty, staff, alumni and community for almost 100 years. Our mission is to deliver outstanding customer service while providing books, school supplies, and other merchandise and services in a manner that will support and enhance the educational experience of the University community. Student employees earn more than a half million dollars per year at Student Stores through jobs that enhance and enrich their educational experience. We further fulfill our mission by being financially self-supporting through our receipts, allowing us to contribute any residual funds to the non-athletic scholarship and fellowship programs of the university.
